World News Wednesdays - It's Hard Saying Good-bye

No matter what age you are, it is hard to say "good-bye" to someone you love dearly.  For 4-year-old Paige, who couldn't bear to let go of her father's hand while he was in formation to be deported to Iraq, it was too hard to let go for even a minute.  Her mother took this family photo that was sent to her aunt, and suddenly the photo was published in newspapers all over.  Paige's father will be back home in July, but that was still too long for Paige to wait.

This photo was so touching that strangers have been sending Paige and her mother supporting emails.  Being away from their children not only affects mothers very much, but fathers, too.

As a parent, can you relate to Paige's father?

so touching :=)

I think this illustrates a point I've been trying to make to my husband for a while now.

Fathers are important. Not just to boys. Girls need Daddies, too.
